Project Description

The Weld RE-9 Transportation Facility is comprised of two structures – a bus storage shed and a maintenance and office building. The 4,000-square-foot bus storage building is an open t-shed that can accommodate 16 buses. The maintenance facility is 8,100 square feet and has three maintenance bays, one wash bay, and 1,000 square feet of office and storage space. The facility has a 980-square-foot mezzanine over the office space that is used as a storage area for tools and spare parts. In addition to acting as a maintenance facility, the building also receives and distributes deliveries for the Weld RE-9 School District.

Both structures are pre-engineered metal buildings on a load-bearing spread footing foundation system. Finishes within the maintenance and office building are limited including sealed concrete floors with a rubber base and mostly exposed ceilings except for a small area of acoustical tile over the office area.

Scope of work included site development such as overlot grading, infrastructure, gravel paving, site lighting, and landscaping.
