Capstone Academy is Roche’s second project with National Heritage Academies, which is a charter school management company that operates 100+ schools across nine states serving more than 60,000 students in kindergarten through 12th grade.
Project Description
The 43,000-square-foot K-8 school is a single-story, wood-framed structure on a load-bearing spread footing foundation system with engineered flat-sloped trusses for the roof framing. The school is home to traditional classrooms as well as a gymnasium; art, music, and media rooms; and office and work/conference spaces. The gymnasium, located in the center of the school, has a ceiling height of 24 feet.
Site development for the 10-acre lot included grading, off-site infrastructure and roadway improvements, storm water system, retaining walls, parking lot paving, site lighting, landscaping, and a sports court.
