Project Description

Work in the dock area included converting office space into a restroom and hallway access. On the third floor, the remodeled area houses a sports book lounge and restaurant. The sports book area contains a betting counter and bar along with gaming machines. The Mariposa Bistro restaurant has a show kitchen, bar, seating area, and two private dining rooms. The back-of-house kitchen area runs the length of the room and contains a walk-in freezer/cooler, beer storage, and kitchen equipment. There are high-end finishes throughout the space including stone counter tops and stone wall coverings, wood flooring in the Bistro, tile and wood wall coverings, ceiling finishes, and a hanging fireplace enclosed in glass.

Roche worked on multiple floors to tie in the existing mechanical, plumbing, and electrical systems. A challenge of this project was working behind temporary walls on the second floor, which is an active casino. We accessed existing systems in the ceilings for demolition and completed work during the nighttime hours as not to disturb the daily operations of the casino and hotel.
