Roche Constructors renovated and expanded a portion of the former Hewlett Packard (HP) facility in Greeley to create a new campus for West Ridge Academy — a K-8 charter school. The new campus allowed enrollment to grow from 250 students to 505 students.
EducationThe scope of work involved renovating and building out a portion of the empty HP facility. The renovated space is 23,667 square feet and once served as a cafeteria and conference/events center. It was connected to the main HP building via a breezeway, which Roche removed to create a standalone building. The renovation houses 16 classrooms plus two “learn” rooms, which are smaller rooms for one-on-one tutoring or small group work. The renovated area also includes space for a band room, art, foreign language, music, and special education. A 22,942-square-foot addition was also built that houses seven classrooms, cafeteria, gymnasium, auditorium, and offices.
