King Soopers Marketplace #137 is in the new Candelas development, which is a master-planned community in northwest Arvada, Colorado. The development is located just south of Rocky Flats National Wildlife Refuge.

Project Description
The new 123,564-square-foot store was the first of the 2017 King Soopers prototypes to be built that included new architectural features and a Clicklist pick-up area for online shopping. The store also has The Little Clinic, which is a walk-in healthcare clinic and a pharmacy with a drive-through.
The store was built on a pad-ready site on a load-bearing spread footing foundation system with a masonry load-bearing steel joist building frame system.
Roche was also responsible for 7,000 square feet of retail shops and the remaining site development including utilities, storm water system, landscaping, asphalt, fencing, etc. Additional scope of work included the construction of a fuel center, which consists of nine pumps and a 180-square-foot, pre-manufactured building clad in masonry. The fuel center is covered with a canopy.
