EducationPhase one of the elementary school replacement included constructing a two-story, 58,254-square-foot elementary school and sitework, including new playground equipment, paving, and utilities. The school is built on a load-bearing spread footing foundation system with a structural metal stud and masonry load-bearing steel joist building frame system. The exterior is finished with metal stud walls with EIFS/masonry veneer. The building houses traditional classrooms, office space, a gymnasium, a cafeteria, and an interactive learning courtyard.
Once the new building was finished, the students and teachers moved in, and the existing school was demolished. The demolition and completion of the remaining site development was phase two.
