The revitalization of Joe P. Martinez Park, located in the Villa Park subdivision in Denver, was Roche’s first task order under its on-call construction services contract for large project delivery with the City and County of Denver’s Department of Transportation and Infrastructure

Project Description

Construction consisted of Phase 1A of the City’s master plan, which included a new playground and cultural play area, multi-sport court and fitness station, memorial plaza, pavilion/amphitheater, upgraded amenities and signage, and a multi-use lawn area. Roche’s scope included irrigation, parking, concrete walkways, and landscape improvements.

Joe P. Martinez Park is named after Private Joe Martinez, the first Hispanic-American to receive the Medal of Honor for combat heroism on U.S. soil during World War II.
