Located in Las Vegas, Nevada, Roche Constructors completed the Ruby S. Thomas Elementary School replacement project, which included the abatement and demolition of the existing school, followed by the construction of a new 99,866 square foot campus. The new facility was designed to support modern educational needs while providing a safe, functional, and welcoming environment for students, faculty, and staff.

Project Description
The campus is made up of three separate buildings designed to support a range of educational functions. The first building is a single story facility housing administration and special programs at the center, with a multipurpose wing to the east and a kindergarten wing to the west. The second building is a two story structure containing academic and classroom space for first through fifth grade, featuring an open vestibule on the lower level and a library and resource center above on the second level. The third building serves as a central plant and houses the school’s mechanical systems, supporting daily campus operations.
Site development across the 7.8 acre property was completed as part of Roche Constructors’ educational commercial construction services and included overlot grading, on site and off site utility improvements, parking lot paving, site lighting, landscaping, road improvements, site retaining walls, stormwater infrastructure, playing fields, playgrounds, and an outdoor stage with a covered shade structure designed for student and community use.
