Located on the corner of Ford Avenue and Riley Street in Las Vegas, Nevada, the new elementary school is comprised of two buildings.
EducationThe 39,034-square-foot, single-story building serves as an administrative/specialty kindergarten classroom area. The 61,498-square-foot, two-story building contains classrooms and a media center area and has two wings that are connected via a second-story bridge, creating an exterior breezeway below. Unique exterior features include a botanical garden and a courtyard with a stage.
The scope of work for the 12-acre site included overlot grading, utilities, parking lot paving, site lighting, landscaping, site retaining wall, and stormwater system. Offsite infrastructure work included paving half streets around three sides of the site, regulatory striping and signage for the neighborhood walk routes, and solar school zone flashers. There is also a baseball field and three play areas – kindergarten, intermediate, and primary – with play structures on safety surfacing.
