Dayspring’s new K-6 classroom building was constructed on a load-bearing spread footing foundation system with a steel frame/composite slab building frame system.
Roche was also responsible for renovation work at the existing PK-12 building, which included removing a portion of the exterior wall to create a new enclosed vestibule space. A canopy was installed at the new point of entry that matches the entry on the new K-6 building. Also, Roche transformed a classroom to create an office and library media center. Finally, wall finishes, flooring, and acoustical ceiling tiles throughout the building were updated.
Site development included overlot grading, utilities, parking lot paving, site lighting, landscaping, off-site infrastructure, site retaining wall, storm water system, and playground.
