The Vantage Hemp Project
Roche Constructors has built a reputation for completing projects efficiently, balancing time and resources to benefit their clients. With this in mind, Roche was selected for the hemp processing facility.
For the Vantage Hemp project, Roche needed to plan light industrial structures that could work together. The two facilities would cover 61,412 square feet, with a total project value of $16.9 million. The work involved four contracts: two for the core and shell of each building and two for the specific interior finishes.
Vantage Hemp Facility #1
The first facility was designed for the initial stages of hemp processing. This 35,100-square-foot structure was built using site-cast concrete wall panels and a sturdy foundation. Key features included fire sprinklers, electrical and plumbing systems, and mechanical installations.
Tenant-specific elements included office space, a break room, restrooms, lab and decarboxylation rooms, alongside a large storage area with racking space. Safety installations were crucial, especially the ESFR fire suppression system and CO2 detection system.
Vantage Hemp Facility #2
The second building covered 26,312 square feet and handled further processing. In this facility, hemp was further refined through specialized rooms. Propane was used in a hydrocarbon room for early processing, while pentane transformed CBD into crystallite in the crystallization room. The outcome was nearly pure CBD for various uses.
This structure featured a 24-foot interior height, with four overhead doors for easy access. Both core and shell work covered essential systems like lighting, power, and plumbing. Tenant-specific work included offices, a clean room, restrooms, and a break area.
Roche’s comprehensive approach ensured the project met the complex needs of the Vantage Hemp facility. Our commitment to efficient timelines and meticulous planning facilitated a smooth transition from construction to operation.
