Aims Community College awarded Roche Constructors the $25.5 million Workforce Innovation Center, which will be built on the Greeley campus at the 16th Street and 47th Avenue entrance.
OZ Architecture will design the 45,000-square-foot facility. The groundbreaking building will nurture local business start-ups and provide students with the latest business and technical skills. Aims will work solely with companies open to collaborating with students.
According to the College’s press release (aims.edu, 12/13/23), “The goal of the facility is to create a supportive environment designed to help new businesses, ideas, or projects grow while reducing operations risks and costs. Aims learners will benefit from hands-on proficiency with leading-edge technology and business development experience.”
In addition to constructing the building, Roche’s scope of work includes site development and utility infrastructure.
Preconstruction will start immediately with construction scheduled to start this fall.
