The Clark County School District Board of Trustees will award Roche Constructors the contract for the $31.6 million Myrtle Tate Elementary School replacement project in Las Vegas, Nevada, at the May 7th board meeting.
The existing school was built in 1971. At the end of the 2019-20 school year in May, Roche will abate and demolish the school and site elements and construct a 93,490-square-foot school in its place. During construction, the students and staff at Myrtle Tate Elementary will be relocated.
The 9-acre campus will consist of four structures including an administration building, a multipurpose building, and two classroom buildings. The classroom buildings will be two-story and will be connected via a second-story bridge, creating an exterior breezeway below.
Site development includes new utilities, parking lots, landscaping, and a botanical garden.
The project will begin in mid-June and will be complete in May 2021.
