Yard Assistant
Job Description:
- Deliver necessary equipment to jobsite as needed
- Plan the most effective route to ensure timely deliveries
- Ensure the safety of all loads being delivered
- Clean and organize yard and shop area
- Maintain equipment and tools in the yard and shop areas
- Responsible for truck and trailer inspections
- Responsible for snow removal and landscape maintenance of corporate office and other company-owned properties
Job Requirements:
- Ability to lift 14 to 60 pounds frequently and carry up to 50 pounds occasionally
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions
- Ability to drive a truck and pull a trailer; have knowledge of state and federal DOT regulations
- Ability to safely operate a forklift
- Ability to pull gooseneck/bumper trailers
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Basic computer skills
- Basic mechanical abilities
- Basic mathematical skills
- Basic knowledge of hand tools
- Must have a valid driver’s license
- High school diploma or equivalent
