Property Manager
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Property Manager to join our dynamic accounting team! The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in property management and bookkeeping services for various company owned subsidiaries.
Job Description:
- Administer daily responsibilities of commercial leases
- Annual reconciliation of NNN charges per leases
- Work closely with Facilities Manager on Tenant based repair requests, maintenance schedules, and Landlord buildouts
- Use rental software to track Tenant renewals, escalations, and maturity dates
- File annual reports with the State for all subsidiary entities
- Review and investigate any billing discrepancies
- Monthly review of project-related accounting records (i.e. contracts, leases, bank accounts, payroll)
- Monitor and reconcile bank accounts
- Be knowledgeable of the operation of all office equipment, personal computers and communication system
- Work with brokers on marketing vacant spaces and assist with tenant design-build oversight
- Backup for occasional front desk coverage
- Open, sort and distribute incoming and outgoing correspondence
- File documents for VP of Finance accurately and in a timely manner
- Verify time cards for employees of subsidiary entities and review bi-weekly payroll
- Reconcile intercompany payables
- Maintain records for insurance terms and monitor policies
- Assists with annual tax return reporting
Job Requirements:
- Ability to prepare estimates with minimal supervision
- Experience with commercial leases is required
- Prior bookkeeping experience preferred
- Experience with Rent Manager preferred
- Ability to communicate with fellow employees, outside customers and vendors in a professional manner
- Good organizational skills and demonstrated attention to detail
- Basic mathematical skills
- Efficient and timely administrative response
- Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions’ read and comprehend written materials
- Ability to work with minimal supervision, prioritize and be flexible with daily work schedule
- Ability to take initiative and be a self-starter
- Intermediate knowledge of Intuit QuickBooks, Word, Excel and Outlook software
- Maintain confidentiality is mandatory
- Ability to use common sense approach to handle situations
- Ability to maintain effectiveness in varying environments with varying tasks, responsibilities and/or people
- Ability to consistently meet deadlines and to effectively perform daily tasks
- Thorough knowledge and usage of grammar, punctuation and overall business writing as they pertain to this position
