Don & Dee Snyder Elementary School is comprised of two buildings — a single-story, 39,034-square-foot building and a two-story, 61,498-square-foot building. The single-story building serves as an administrative/specialty kindergarten classroom area. The two-story building contains classrooms and a media center area and has two wings that are connected via a second-story bridge, creating an exterior breezeway below. The scope of work for the 12-acre site included overlot grading, utilities, parking lot paving, site lighting, landscaping, site retaining wall, and stormwater system. Offsite infrastructure work included paving half streets around three sides of the site, regulatory striping and signage for the neighborhood walk routes, and solar school zone flashers. There is also a baseball field and three play areas – kindergarten, intermediate, and primary – with play structures on safety surfacing.
