Roche Constructors was awarded the Rick Thomas Distillery project in Black Hawk, Colorado.
Designed by Dalkita, Inc., from Littleton, Colorado, the distillery will feature two, pre-engineered metal buildings — a 6,903-square-foot distillery building and a 5,000-square-foot barrel storage building. The distillery building will house the distilling equipment, offices, tasting/bar area, events space, and catering staging space. The barrel storage building will be where the whiskey is aged in barrels prior to distribution.
Preconstruction will start immediately. Construction will start near the end of May and completion is scheduled for early November. The Rick Thomas Distillery team will begin production in late 2021 and will release their first aged whiskey in 2023.
