Roche Constructors will renovate a 62,000-square-foot office building into space for Cherry Creek School District’s Options Program and Transition Program as well as the District’s Student Achievement Resource Center, which is home to a library and visual media center.

The Options Program is a homeschool enrichment program that supports parents who choose to educate their children at home. While the majority of student education takes place at home in this program, students attend school one day a week and are taught by certified teachers.

The Transition Program is an optional program for young adults with special needs who are 18 to 21 years of age and who have completed their high school core classes. The program assists with developing the necessary tools to progress from high school to adult life.

The scope of work includes removing and relocating walls; installing new flooring, ceilings, and windows; and updating the plumbing, electrical, mechanical, IT, security, AV, firm alarm, and fire suppression systems. Roche will also patch and repair architectural finishes.

The renovated building will house classrooms, administrative space, a kitchen and lunchroom, and a multi-purpose/stage area. There is also a 20,000-square-foot unoccupied warehouse area that will eventually be converted to a gym.
