Roche is constructing a replacement building at Union Colony Preparatory School’s secondary campus in Greeley, Colorado. The secondary campus is home to the middle and high school students.

The campus currently consists of two buildings that both have a basement, an addition that connects the two buildings, and a gymnasium. The new 40,120-square-foot, two-story building will be built on the current playing field. Once the new building is complete, the existing 32,500-square-foot school will be demolished and replaced with a new playing field.

The new building will be built on a load-bearing spread footing foundation system with a steel frame/braced joist building frame system. It will house a commons area with a warming kitchen, three science labs, two art rooms, band room, vocal music room, 17 classrooms, teacher work rooms, and administrative offices. The only remaining portion of Union Colony’s current facility will be the gymnasium and locker rooms.

The sitework scope of work includes overlot grading, utilities, parking lot paving, site lighting, landscaping, and storm water system.
