Job Description:
  • Coordinate subcontractors’ work schedules at the project superintendent’s direction
  • Maintain orderly documentation of all field purchases
  • Schedule equipment and materials at the project superintendent’s direction
  • Ensure timeliness of all submittals and shop drawings
  • Maintain and submit accurate, timely reports and forms as required by the corporate and regional offices and specific to the project

Project Manager

Job Description:
  • Manage and enforce the corporate safety program through the superintendent.
  • Assume total responsibility for a quality-built project while maintaining schedule and budget.
  • Manage and update the project schedule, schedule recovery.
  • Manage the project budget, budget recovery.
  • Lead and oversee the entire jobsite construction process.
  • Control and manage the direction of the project.
  • Monitor the progress, performance, and quality of the project(s).
  • Insure adherence to building plans, specifications, codes, and regulations.
  • Conduct owner and subcontractor meetings.
  • Facilitate and manage critical path activities. Identify and process all change orders and changes in scope.
  • Identify and generate RFI’s based on field condition and facilitate rapid and complete responses from the design team.
  • Manage and review project submittals from subcontractors and submit to the appropriate design consultants.
  • Create, manage, and execute through superintendent the project “punch list”. Coordinate and submit all required sign-offs and program documentation.

Project Estimator

Job Description:
  • Review plans and specifications for overall project understanding to identify risk in difficult work, operation, sequencing, project restrictions and time constraints
  • Establish work scopes for subcontractors, defining major and priority subs
  • Complete and review pricing and take-offs prior to pre-bids
  • Monitor coverage and solicit new subcontractors to bid projects we are estimating
  • Assemble thorough and accurate General Condition costs
  • Review proposal specifications and drawings, attend pre-bid meetings, as feasible, to determine scope of work and required estimate content
  • Demonstrate competency, accuracy, and organization during bids
  • Correspond with architects and engineers during estimate preparation
  • Assist in buyout process
  • Provide estimating support to other company divisions, as required
  • Improve existing subcontractor relationships with open communication to ensure accuracy with estimates
  • Stay apprised of current bid market conditions
  • Understand competitors’ strengths and weaknesses and strategize using this knowledge
  • Maintaining confidentiality is mandatory
Job Requirements:
  • General knowledge of estimating principles and policies
  • Ability to prepare estimates with minimal supervision
  • Strong familiarity with project schedules and durations for all types of facilities

Project Superintendent

Job Description:
  • Ability to read and comprehend contracts, purchase agreements, contract entails for the project, coordinating subcontractor and supplier scope with Project Manager
  • Determine site logistics for site access, temporary roads, fencing, etc. and discuss with Project Manager
  • Prior to construction, survey and record all adjacent and perimeter site and building elevations
  • Arrange temporary services, primary surveying and horizontal control
  • Conduct pre-construction meetings; weekly coordination meetings with all subcontractors, owners, architects and consultants
  • Determine methods of construction, manpower levels, material quantities, equipment, temporary power sources, work schedules and document actual hours worked
  • Supervise Company employees assigned to the project
  • Schedule and coordinate suitable equipment
  • Resolve construction problems, lack of productivity, work interfaces
  • Complete and oversee maintenance and proper completion of all daily work documentation and other paperwork required, submitting all as required on a timely basis

  • Excellent communication, organizational, and supervisory skills essential
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw solid conclusions
  • Intermediate knowledge of Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Four-year construction management/engineering degree or equivalent and eight years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
